Taumeasina Island Resort is a new 4 and a half star luxury resort, set to open its doors on July 1, 2016. The resort is situated on an exclusive island located on the North Coast of Upolu just outside of Apia. The resort boasts 80 hotel suites, and a mix of two and three bedroom self-contained villas, less than 5 minute’s drive from the capital city of Samoa.
The development of Taumeasina Island Resort has been spearheaded by Sir Kostas Constantinou OBE who has been developing and operating hotels in PNG and more recently in the Pacific Islands for over 30 years. Sir Kostas diversified his families PNG business interests by opening Airways Hotel in Port Moresby in 1985, which has recently been awarded the Best Airport Hotel in Australasia.
Taumeasina Island Resort, is the only island resort in Apia, and is the first of its kind in Samoa. The island itself was reclaimed some 50 years ago, is approximately 60,000sqm or 14.8 acres, and is connected to the mainland via causeway. The resort has been designed by Australian architects Thompson Adsett and has been developed by the Lamana Group
